Solar Light LED

If you’re looking for solar lights then you must have stumbled upon the term LED; an LED, or Light Emitting Diode, is an electronic device that lights up when an electric current passes through it; solar lights are equipped with LED’s.

Solar Light Advantages
An outdoor solar light can be more expensive than your average outdoor lights; the reason for that is because of the pricey solar cells and, to a lesser degree, the Nicad battery that’s included with your solar lighting device.

However, solar lights are considered a far better investment than any other light, and for the long run they will give you a greater value for your money.

So what are the advantages of outdoor solar lighting?
The advantage of buying solar lights is that LED bulbs can be relatively small and they will never burn out during the lifetime of the product – no need for bulb replacement or any other cost or inconvenience to the product.

Furthermore, LED’s provide a tremendous amount of light for their size and energy draw, creating almost no heat and use very little electricity. In general, an LED uses about 1/10th the power of an incandescent bulb and they are up to 90% more efficient than both fluorescent and neon bulbs of similar wattage.

Best of all, an LED will last thousands of hours vs. a few hundred hours from a standard flashlight bulb.
